A Framework for design
The design domain has opened up to digital technologies in recent decades. These however remain mainly mobilised in their utilitarian form. As such, they appear as tools for drawing (from CAD to generative drawing), engineering tools (optimisation) or diffusion tools (publication, internet). We set the scene of a Framework for design based on notions of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), in order to suggest a unified approachto the processes mobilised in our projects. We try to demonstrate that a high level of abstraction allows the generalisation of a single method for interventions in various practice domains: architecture, graphic design and industrial design.
